I'm very disaappointet on the way that Touratech prices its' products in Nordic. Earlier, before Touratech Nordic, we could order direct from Germany, at German prices paying only the higher postal expenses to Finland. And the parcel came home within a week. Now, when we are forced to order via Touratech Nordic, we must pay about 16 % extra for being Finnish, not German. Yes, of course, we have higher VAT (23 %) in Finland, but that only makes 4 % difference to German prices.
I understand that also Touratech Nordic must live, but I (and many of my fellow adventure bikers in Finland) do not accept, that we Nordic customers must totally pay the expenses of Touratech nordic within the higher prices. Hence, that our service in general isn't any better than before, but actually it's worse. If Touratech Nordic does not have the item in their inventory, which happen very often, they must first order it from Germany and then send it to Finland. I and many of my fellow bikers have found unopened "Touratech Germany" -parcels within the parcel we've got from Nordic. Also our service is actually worse than before. Nowadays the delivery takes two weeks, one from Germany to Sweden and another from Sweden to Finland, and for that worse service we must pay 12 % extra (+ difference in VAT). That's really unacceptable.
It's not only Touratech Nordic's fault, but the whole system. In my mind Touratech headquarters should quarantee the same net prices (without VAT) in every country and give a bit discount to local dealers so that the net prices without the VAT can be kept same. The currency fluctuations are not an excuse, since we in Finland also have EUR, like in Germany. This pricing will lead into the situation, that there will became many gray dealers in the cheaper prices' countries, like Germany, where some people will convey the Touratech products to their friends into the countries of higher prices. Also these local dealers will gain, which also have same, or even lower prices than Germany. I know many fellow bikers who are ready to do what ever it takes to avoid paying that "Nordic premium".
That's very sad, because the products itself are in good quality and the service in general is good.
