CFMoto on KTM:n sopimusvalmistaja, joten ei varsinaisesti ole kopio.

Jännä nähdä, jos ja kun tulee Eurooppaan, miten hintalappu asettuu. Tuossahan on painopistettä ja painoa siirretty reilustu ylöspäin ja heikommat jarrut sekä jousitus verrattuna pyörään josta moottoritekniikka on kotoisin. Voisi kuvitella että jää edullisemmaksi kun euroopassa valmistetut pyörät. 19"/17" näyttäis rengastus. Matkakäyttöön suunnattu. Moottori on kyllä hyväkäytöksinen että sikäli tuossa on potentiaalia.

CFMoto have revealed their biggest bike yet, the first fruit of a deal with KTM which sees the Chinese brand use a variety of the Austrian firm’s motors.

Called the 800MT, the new bike uses the 799cc parallel twin from KTM’s outgoing 790 Adventure and looks set to offer a modestly priced, road-focused alternative to KTM’s ‘ready to race’ machines.

Power and torque are the same as the KTM, at 92bhp and 65ftlbs and it also hasn’t lost any of its sister bike’s tech, including slipper clutch, cornering ABS, ride-by-wire throttle, quickshifter and multiple riding modes.

There’s a high level of ‘comfort tech’ too, some of which wasn’t on the 790, including cruise control, TFT dash with navigation, keyless ignition, automatic LED lights, fog lights, heated grips and seat plus alarm.

The chassis is impressive too, if not quite meeting KTM standard, with KYB suspension and J.Juan brakes replacing WP and Brembo kit. While another welcome addition for some will be its 825mm seat height – 25mm lower than the Adventure and 55mm lower than the Adventure R.

There are also all the usual adventure accessories including three-piece hard luggage, engine bars, centre stand and handguards.

The fuel tank is a tradtional shape, without the large twin saddle ones of the 790 with tank capacity only shrinking by 1litre to 19litres.

So far the bike has only been officially released at a domestic bike show in China, however the UK operation thinks riders over here should be just as excited.

"It was great to see the CFMoto 800MT presented to the Chinese domestic market, the bike looks fantastic and the specification is very exciting too," said Freddie Hinkley, Managing Director of CFMoto UK.

"We believe this model would be very popular with UK customers and hope to see the Euro 5 version here in the near future. The unveiling of the 800MT in China is just the beginning of a very exciting time for the CFMoto brand.

"It shows the huge amount of development and investment that CFMoto are putting into the motorcycle market with more exciting models due in the future."
